Flyers Skate Zone offers a variety of school, community and corporate programs to our neighbors. Our facilities are available for a fun, interactive educational experience, as the coolest fundraiser on earth, or to host the skating party of your choice!

Flyers Skate Zone Educational Experiences

• How does the ice stay frozen?

Come learn what really lies beneath the ice surface.

• How did we fit 25 miles of piping under there? What is it for? What about the sand, gravel, stone and styrofoam?

Visit our Refrigeration Room.

• What is refrigerant?

Sit on the Zamboni and learn how the ice is resurfaced

• What in the world is a Zamboni? What does it do?
• How does it shave the ice and lay water all at the same time?
• Where does all that snow come from?
• What in the world does HVAC stand for? 

Come learn how heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems critically impact the ice rink.

• Is hot air heavier than cold?
• How does air flow? And why?
• What is dehumidification? What does it have to do with the ice?
• How do those air filters get so dirty?

Life skills learned through sport 

• Learn how our Progressive Skill Lesson Programs lead to positive self-esteem and a sense of achievement
• Learn how life skills can be learned and ingrained through sports
• Learning to work in teams- the importance of trust
• How to get along with others
• Dealing with adversity
• The importance of a strong and solid work ethic
• Working collectively toward a common goal

Flyers Skate Zone Fund Raising Opportunities

• Flyers Skate Zone offers ice time to schools and parent-teacher organizations as an opportunity to raise money to support your programs.
• Ice may be rented on a per-person or an hourly basis at a pre-determined price point. Your group may then sell admission at a higher price point and keep the excess funds.
• We also offer many other added value items, such as:
• Skate rental for those who don't own skates
• Food and Beverages
• Premium Items, including Flyers and Phantoms memorabilia and Flyers Skate Zone apparel
• Lessons from one of our professional instructors
• Celebrity Appearances

Flyers Skate Zone Skating Parties

• We offer the perfect venue to celebrate a class achievement, school holiday, or alternative family recreational event for your students and family.
• Ice may be rented on a per-person or hourly basis at a pre-determined price point, based on availability
• The Flyers Skate Zone sound system allows your group to cater the music to their tastes and enhance the total experience
• Our Game Zone provides a place for alternative entertainment for those who like to take breaks from skating or chose not to skate
• Our Snack Zone is always open for your group to satisfy their thirst and hunger, and can cater your event if you so choose
