SKATE SHARPENING & PROFILING
MAXIMUM EDGE and its members offer their customers a superior standard in skate blade maintenance. The sharpening system incorporates a precise profiling and patented finish process, which increases the number one factor in skating - skater control. MAXIMUM EDGE has trained the Flyers Skate Zone Pro Shop staff, as well as many NHL and AHL trainers.
Proper sharpening and a skate profiled based on your weight, height and skill level will dramatically improve your skating. Try the MAXIMUM EDGE process and you will feel a big difference in your speed, agility, balance and control.
Reasons why your skates need to be MAXIMUM EDGE profiled:
- Skate blades delivered from the factory are not precision profiled
- Left and right blades usually differ in contact surface, balance point and height
- Repeated cross-grinding of skates before sharpening will alter your profile
- Even skate sharpening alone can change your profile over time
- It is recommended that you get your skates profiled once a year.
